Types of interpretation

• Consecutive. The speaker stops every one to five minutes, usually at the end of a complete thought, and the interpreter renders what was said into the target language. Such type of interpretation doubles the speaking time, so it is more appropriate for small events or seminars.
• Simultaneous. The interpreter translates the sentence into the target language while simultaneously listening to and comprehending the next sentence. Preferable at large events with a strict schedule of performances. The interpreter needs isolation from noise and full concentration on the speaker, so soundproof booths are used.
• Whisper interpreting with a radio guide system, for both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. See tour guide system rental.
• VIP interpreting support. Similar to simultaneous interpreting, but the interpreter sits next to the person or small group and speaks softly while interpreting. Often used for business meetings where just one person requires interpreting.
